Oh Annie,
What a heart-bursting love for the plant world you share! I love how you put such expression and life into a world that I have moved in and out of (gardening, nursery work, caring for bot-babies)often with less regard.

I feel and express reverence for the natural world as you so clearly do about cultivated plants. Thanks you for dipping me back into that level of regard when it comes to the domestic world of soil, plant, and growth.

It makes me wish I were in my yard rather than here working at my computer.

Thank you!

Can totally see you as a Canna - they are a little fiery, have an outstanding flower color and arrangement, can handle the heat (with ample water), have amazing foliage, stems are strong long into the rains and cold, mulch beautifully. Perhaps we might include in your garden or in a pot?

I'm a Canna. Whatever that is. Something about standing up for what I believe in... hmmm, kinda wanted to be something comfortable and familiar that I recognized (the flower not the character trait) - you know, like a pansy or something ;P
